What to expect?
You will be warmly welcomed to class. A typical session includes time to settle in, a theme for the practice, 45-50 minutes of asanas (postures), possible breathwork, and 15 minutes of mindfulness and relaxation. Classes last 1hr 15min. Beginners will receive clear guidance, while more experienced students can explore various options and progressions. You’ll also enhance your breath and mental focus.
What to wear?
There’s no dress code as such, but it’s best to wear simple, comfortable clothing that can stretch as you move. Leggings or loose trousers / shorts with a t-shirt or equivalent. It is worth having some warmer layers to wear coming into the class and potentially for the relaxation section. We practice bare foot, although some people wear socks / yoga socks (have toes and grip). Yoga is about the practice, not about how you look.

What to bring?
Yourselves! A yoga mat if you have one (otherwise there should be one to borrow). A blanket if you can. A cushion if you wish. Blocks if you have them. A drink of water to keep by your mat to drink as required during the class.

What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice with roots going back millennia. It is much more than just a series of physical exercises and at its heart lies the balance of mind, body and breath. Through the practice and study of yoga we seek to improve our health, fitness and wellbeing. It is a method to help us to live fully, presently, and contentedly as we navigate whatever life path we find ourselves following.
There are numerous different approaches and styles that can come under the umbrella term of yoga, my classes are founded in the Hatha Yoga tradition. I am a fully insured, BWY trained and affiliated teacher
